Breakfast

Hello Easter Friends :)
We woke up this morning to the smell of Bacon sizzling in the oven downstairs. Easter breakfast has always been my favorite part of the holiday. Our breakfast consisted of sausage patties, bacon, cinnamon rolls (both gluten-free and otherwise), mandarin oranges, strawberries, mixed fruit, sausage balls, and of course, the hard boiled eggs for egg fights. To my delight, my bunny and my chickie egg both survived the first day of battle. (So proud of my little warriors). We decided to eat outside on the deck, so we could spend time with my grandparents without bringing unwanted suspicious germs into their house. It was quite cold and windy where we are, so we wore jackets and lit the fire on the table.
Egg Hunt

After the morning church service, and an equally feastlike lunch, we began our traditional hunt for eggs. Seven dozen colored easter eggs were spread across the backyard and up the sides of the house. The egg hunt was a lot of fun, though I can't say I had as much enthusiasm as my sisters, who tore down the stairs and even went as far as pulling each other's hair to attain eggs first. In the end, I finished up with 28 eggs, while my sisters each had 35+. I find that 28 easter eggs worth of candy is more than enough for me, so I gave a few favorites to each sister, and some to my parents and grandparents. My sisters organized their candy in neat color-coordinated rows, and then arranged them in their baskets in rainbow order.

I'm hoping to do one more post about what I got in my Easter basket, but I think that will have to wait until tomorrow.
Thanks for your support! I hope you all had a great holiday :) ~ Sofi (Pastel Bimbo Babe)
